IFAC Control Orchestra 2023

The world's first live performance of the IFAC Control Orchestra, consisting of musicians from the automatic control community only, took place at the closing ceremony of the IFAC World Congress in Yokohama/Japan in July 2023.
33 musicians (winds, strings, pianos, guitars, bass, percussion, drums) from 13 countries performed three instrumental pieces, after two rehearsals during the World Congress plus a brief stage rehearsal.

    Music written by Rolf Lovland in 2001; performed by Secret Garden, Josh Groban, Westlife, and many others
  • "Blinding Lights": recording on Youtube
    Music written by Abel Tesfaye, Ahmad Balshe, Jason Quenneville, Max Martin, Oscar Holter in 2019; performed by Canadian singer/songwriter The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye)
  • "Don't stop believin'": recording on Youtube
    Music written by Jonathan Cain, Steve Perry, Neal Schon in 1981; performed by US rock band Journey
